Join us for a weekend of Dynamic Water in one of Scotland's most versatile sea kayaking venues...
What's it all about?
In October 2020, we are very excited to be able to offer a weekend of dynamic water paddling on the West coast of Scotland, with skilled & experienced coaches, and small groups of no more than 6 paddlers.
During the weekend participants will be able to sign up for one, two or three days, selecting a variety of workshops to suit their abilities and interests each day. Our team of passionate, progressive and experienced coaches will be running sessions throughout the weekend to support learning in a positive and fun environment.

Where is it?
The event will be based in North Connel, just north of Oban, on the West coast of Scotland, a fantastic location that offers a huge variety of options for adventurous sea kayakers. Across the weekend we will utilise a variety of venues to find conditions appropriate to the needs of each workshop. These could range from the tidal waters of the Falls of Lora, just minutes from the event base, or the tide race of the Grey Dogs, through to the calmer waters in the shelter of the islands of the Firth of Lorne.
We will meet each morning at North Connel village hall, before heading out to our coaching venues for the day.
There are many accommodation options available in the area, from campsites & hostels to B&Bs & hotels. Oban offers many of these, and also has a variety of options for eating. For those wishing to stay longer, or arrive earlier, Oban is a hub for ferries to many of the Scottish islands, and there are plenty of paddling options available locally.

What's involved, & how much does it cost?
If you're reasonably comfortable paddling in open water conditions, and have encountered some wind & waves, and perhaps a little (or more) tidal flow, then this is the event for you. If you're looking to develop your skills towards advanced conditions, or maybe to discover how much fun can be had in locations you may have previously journeyed through, then come and join us to discover new skills. Many of the sessions will take place in either moderate or advanced conditions, and each session description will detail some of the conditions likely to be encountered during the day. Take a look at the level descriptions in the event programme below for further guidance, or if you're unsure, feel free to ask.
The event cost is £75 per day, with the option also available to book one (£75, two (£150) or three days (£225). This cost will be payable on booking to secure your place.

Meet the Team
Nick, Matt, Matt & Zoe are all passionate believers in encouraging independence in their students, and in helping paddlers to develop real, long term learning. Between us we bring backgrounds in Sea, White Water, Open Canoeing and Surf Kayaking, with many other sports also in our mix of experience. We are a diverse group of coaches with a shared set of beliefs, bringing complementary skills and styles together to offer something for everyone.
